Bay Concrete Construction began in May 1982.  Most of Bay’s work was in the Virginia Beach/Chesapeake area with our office located in Virginia Beach.  Our current owner, Steve Chandler has been with the company since May of 1997 and has taken the company to new levels.  Steve has been involved with concrete since he was a 14-year-old boy working for one the top concrete companies in the Baltimore area of Maryland.  He brought that knowledge and drive to Bay when he was recruited by the original owner.  In 2009, Bay purchased land in Chesapeake and moved their base of operations there to a more centralized location of Hampton Roads.  Bay Concrete now works all of Hampton Roads, from the oceanfront to Isle of Wight County on the Southside and Williamsburg/James City County on the Peninsula.  With a full lineup of equipment consisting of dozers, backhoes, skid steers, form trucks and trailers, and two Power Curber curb machines, one GPS ready (the only one in Hampton Roads).  From hospitals to schools, commercial parking lots to subdivisions, Bay Concrete installs curb/curb & gutter/sidewalks/handicap ramps/ concrete entrances and dumpster pads among other site concrete items.
